ILOILO City – A drug pushing suspect listed No. 10 in Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s (IPPO) watch list was arrested in Barangay Ledesma Ward, Pototan, Iloilo yesterday.
The 32-year-old Virgilio Iniego was a member of the Bolivar drug group operating in 3rd and 4th districts of Iloilo, said Senior Inspector Bonifacio Alabe, Pototan police chief.
Around 2:40 p.m. Iniego sold a sachet of shabu for P500 to an undercover police officer.
Ten more sachets were recovered from him.
According to Alabe, Iniego’s areas of distribution were Passi City, Dingle and New Lucena.
The Bolivar drug group is believed to be a subgroup of the larger Prevendido drug group.
The police also linked Iniego to illegal gambling.
IPPO director Senior Superintendent Harold Tuzon ordered police chiefs to double their efforts in running after high-value targets in the campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling and wanted persons./PN
