GUIMARAS – The Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO) has a new director – Senior Superintendent Julio Gustilo.
He replaced on April 27 Senior Superintendent Louis Garong who served the province for six month.
Garong was reassigned to the Regional Personnel Human Resource Development Division (RPHRDD) of the Police Regional Office 6, taking over Gustilo’s post.
The swapping of posts was normal, said Chief Superintendent Jose Gentiles.
Garong performed well at the GPPO, he added.
Prior to his Guimaras assignment beginning Oct. 15, 2016 Garon was the director of the Antique Police Provincial Office (beginning Dec. 20, 2015).
On Gustilo’s Guimaras assignment, Gentiles said, “This is the best time to give a chance to other qualified senior officers to grow in the service.”
“Sa ngayon sila lang muna’ng dalawa ang nag-swap ng posts kasi magre-retire na si Garong next year. Sa ibang commanders wala pa naman at okay naman ang performance nila,” Gentiles told Panay News.
Meanwhile, Gustilo said he considered his new assignment a challenge to do better./PN
