ILOILO City – A homemade .38 revolver was seized from a resident of Barangay Buhang, Hamtic, Antique yesterday. He was arrested.
The 24-year-old Jestoni Jorge was detained at the Hamtic police station past 1:30 p.m. He was taken there by Barangay Councilman Rufino Mabaquiao.
Prior to his detention, Jorge threatened to shoot Barangay Captain Arnold Silava, 63. Silava was then having a confrontation with the suspect’s brother.
Mabaquiao disarmed Jorge.
The suspect faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
