BACOLOD City – Four suspects in a robbery at a piggery in Barangay Mailum, Bago City, Negros Occidental have been detained.
The following were hauled to the lockup cell of the Bago City police station: Carlo Briones, 20, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City; and Dennis Torres, 31, Mark Cordova, 33, and Jeffrey Ascora, 25, all of Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.
Security guard Joseph Aspero caught Briones inside MRE Piggery Farm stealing a pig on Thursday, Bago City police station said.
Briones’ three cohorts managed to escape, but they were arrested by Barangay Chairman Federico Gayagas of Bacong, Bago City on Friday.
Aspero told the police his .357 Magnum service firearm, which he left in his bag at the piggery’s guardhouse, went missing.
Police recovered the gun from Cordova. They also apprehended a tricycle believed to have been used by the suspects./PN
