ILOILO City – A cargo truck hit a motorcycle in Barangay Sta. Rita, Anilao, Iloilo, injuring a 23-year-old man and his 50-year-old father.
Rey Mark Pama of Barangay Bingawan, Badiangan town was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City while his father Ruben was treated at the Don Jose Sustiguer Monfort Memorial Hospital in Barotac Nuevo.
The vehicular accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Truck driver Romulo Parian, 56, of Barangay Kalayo, Cabatuan town was detained at the Anilao police station. His truck was impounded.
The younger Pama sustained head injuries. His father had bruises.
“The victims were crossing the street when the truck hit them,” said Inspector, Samuel Vipenosa of the Anilao police station./PN
