ILOILO City – A security guard of Club 88 Disco Bar on J.M. Basa Street, City Proper was wounded in an accidental firing.
John Dapulano, 25, had a gunshot wound on the right elbow, West Visayas State University Medical Center staffers told Police Station 1.
Dapulano, who worked for Armored Hawk Security Services, Inc., placed his issued firearm under the foam he slept on at the club around 4 a.m. on May 18, police said. Around 6 a.m., the gun fell to the ground and went off.
The guard sought help from the manager and was taken to the hospital.
Investigators found the .9mm-caliber pistol with a magazine loaded with eight bullets, and a fired cartridge at the club.
The firearm was turned over to the security agency./PN
