AS PER the announcements of the Department of Education, today – June 5 – will be the start of classes for all public schools from elementary to junior and senior high schools.

Incoming students are expected to start and stock up their school supplies and other daily belongings for the beginning of 2017’s school year. Check your items to know if you’re prepared for a long school year ahead of you.

Usual materials for coming students that will certainly be needed are pencils, sharpeners and erasers for elementary students. Pens are also needed for incoming high schoolers. Students will also need notebooks and papers. Elementary students will recognize lined notebooks and small papers for tests and writing while high schoolers must also stock up on yellow pads, larger books and lengthwise and crosswise pads.

Students may also need to bring hygiene and dental products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and paper rolls to keep yourself clean, neat and healthy before and after eating and also for spontaneous bathroom emergencies. It would be recommended to place these in a receptacle or inside a locker for convenience. Objects such as powders and colognes may also be brought to freshen up during breaks.

Uniforms must be ready for five days a week. Bags for their books and other belongings must also be organized prior to starting classes. In case of weather such as rainy or sunny days, umbrellas and raincoats may also be brought for such occasions. Also check your baon for snacks and lunch; no student should ever go to class on an empty stomach.

For the sake of saving your budget as well as in reducing the consumption of material use, it is necessary to reuse belongings from the previous year. It is important to make use of what is still available and it would also reduce the money you would have spent. However, if such objects bear obvious signs of disrepair or age then it’s probably needed to replace them.

If there any requirements for school, just ask your teachers and other supervisors for what you need.  Also, don’t forget the most essential back-to-school item: your brain. Always make sure to bring your knowledge in and out of school./PN
