4 injured in Don Salvador bus accident

BACOLOD City – Four passengers were injured after the driver of a Ceres bus reportedly lost control of the vehicle on Sunday afternoon in Purok Talus, Barangay Igmayaan, Don Salvador Benedicto town.  

Injured were Nin Camel B. Gustilo, 19, of Barangay 2, San Carlos City; Abagail Y.  Biasas, 17, also of Barangay 2, San Carlos City; John Ronald G. Empio, 25, of Barangay 6, Bacolod City; and Noe J. Francisco, 17, of Barangay Bagong Silang, Don Salvador Benedicto.

Traffic investigation disclosed that the Ceres bus with body number 520 is driven by Neil Villacarlos Gemalpin, 47, a resident of Vasquez Street, Himamaylan City.

The driver said the vehicle’s brake was broken, and he lost control of the steering wheel causing it to ram the railings and concrete barriers.

There were 65 passengers in the bus./PN
