ILOILO City – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 6 is in need of lawyers.
According to Executive Director Jim Sampulna, they are hiring 14 lawyers for posting to city and provincial environment and natural resources offices across Western Visayas.
“Ang CENROs and PENROs natin may legal matters that they have to tackle. We decide land cases which require investigation. Pati sanitary landfill kami magpa-file ng kaso, also sa illegal squatting and other violations of environmental laws,” said Sampulna.
The starting salary is P47,000 a month, equivalent to Salary Grade 21, on contractual status of up to six months.
“They must be willing to be assigned anywhere in Region 6,” said Sampulna.
Interested lawyers should apply at DENR Region 6’s Legal Division, he added./PN
