ILOILO City – Four sachets of suspected shabu were seized from a barber in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Lambunao, Iloilo.
The 52-year-old resident Pregie Larroza was arrested. He is a “newly identified drug personality,” police said.
Larroza sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P500, said Chief Inspector Jogen Suegay, municipal police head.
Three more sachets of the same substance were seized from him.
Larroza was taken to the Lambunao police station where he was detained after his arrest at around 2 p.m. on Saturday.
He may be charged with violation of sections 5 (sale) and 11 (possession) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
Lambunao police surveilled him for a week prior to the operation.
Operatives from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office helped the town police catch the suspect./PN
