BACOLOD City – The City District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways is fast-tracking the construction of roads in preparation for the MassKara Festival from Oct. 1 to 22.
“Kung hindi man ito matapos, we will see to it that hindi ito magiging hindrance or magha-hamper sa celebration,” said District Engineer Abraham Villareal.
Villareal said he is coordinating with the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office led by Luisito Acebuche.
Safety measures will be observed in unfinished road projects come MassKara, Villareal said.
This year’s festival has the theme “Bacolod: City of Southeast Asia.”
Eleven schools and 15 barangays are participating in the street dance competition on Oct. 21 (school category) and 22 (barangay category)./PN
