ILONGGO football players still have a chance to join the 2017 Puma Se7ens Cup, which was rescheduled to Oct. 21 and 22 at the football field in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
According to Joemar Moscaya of Puma Philippines, they have once again opened the registration for those who wish to participate in the two-day event divided into 14 categories:
- U-9 mixed (born 2008)
-
boys and girls U-11 (2006)
-
boys and girls U-13 (2004)
-
boys and girls U-15 (2002)
-
boys and girls U-17 (2000)
-
boys and girls U-19 (1998 and after)
-
men and women open (1997 and after)
-
35-up men (1982 and after)
Puma aims to bring football to the provinces to give rural-based players a chance to experience competitive football, Moscaya told Panay News.
âWe are inviting Ilonggo footballers to join this tournament since it is only rare for them to experience playing at the Football Capital of the Philippines, Barotac Nuevo,â Moscaya said.
âWhile many have requested for an 11-a-side standard tournament, we pushed for 7-a-side to have more teams playing â aside from having fast-pace matches,â he added.
Registration is P2,000 per team. Interested teams may send a Facebook private message to Edwin Caro Laru-an for more information./PN
