BACOLOD City — A pawnshop in Kabankalan City complained to the police that a man pawned to them fake jewelry.
Agencia Negrense gave Larry Santos of Barangay 1, Kabankalan P210,000 in exchange for the items, according to pawnshop employee Tessa Lacson.
Lacson said Santos pawned genuine jewelry for P210,000 on Thursday last week, only to redeem the items in the afternoon.
The following day, he pawned another set of jewelry for the same amount, but the pawnshop failed to check the genuineness of the items and discovered only later that they were fake, Lacson said./PN
