BACOLOD City — The Bacolod City Sports Office will launch “Laro’t Saya” on Sept. 7 at the public plaza here.
Joey Puentevella of the city sports office said the event, to be held every Saturday for one year, aims to awaken the sports awareness of Bacolodnons.
Included in the event are 10 sports disciplines to be held simultaneously at the plaza: arnis, boxing, chess, karate, taekwondo, zumba, tai-chi, table tennis, basketball, and volleyball.
Philippine Sports Commission chair Ritchie Garcia, a Bacolodnon, and Mayor Monico Puentevella will be the launching’s guests of honor./PN
