ILOILO City – Wanted for two years, the No. 8 suspected drug pusher in Dumangas, Iloilo was finally arrested yesterday.

The 40-year-old Noel Vargas of Barangay Sto. Rosario, Dumangas was arrested there by policemen around 8 a.m. for selling and possessing illegal drugs and unlicensed firearm.

Vargas had been in the police’s drug watch list for two years now, said Dumangas police chief, Senior Inspector Charlie Sustento.

The police confiscated three sachets of shabu, five bricks of marijuana, a .22 revolver, ammunition and drug paraphernalia from Vargas.

“We received information that he was selling shabu and marijuana to students and tricycle drivers,” said Sustento.

The police later learned that Vargas had a pending arrest warrant in Iloilo City for an illegal drug case way back in 2012.

“He revealed to us that he got his supply from Iloilo City,” Sustento said.

Vargas was detained at the Dumangas police station. /PN
