BACOLOD City – Mayor Evelio Leonardia stressed that the incident that happened yesterday at Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Barangay Singcang was not a “hostage-taking.”
Leonardia said the incident that happened around 7 a.m. in Bunny Ranch was just a business disagreement between the owners Joseph Nazareno and Hansuan Chang, a Taiwanese.
“Na-alarm man ko kay una nga info hostage-taking,” said Leonardia.
The information was based on a report that several armed men entered the business establishment sent to Police Station 8.
In response, officers from Police Station 8 and the Special Weapon and Tactic units of the Bacolod City Police Office responded to the place.
Leonardia, who also went to the place, met both Nazareno and Chang and advised them to settle their dispute legally./PN
