BACOLOD City – Police arrested a man for illegal possession of firearm and drugs in Barangay 27.
Police Officer 3 Anthony Lopez of the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company nabbed the 35-year-old resident Ernie de Asis on Dec. 12, a Police Station 4 report showed.
Lopez was on board a motorcycle navigating the Burgos-Lopez Jaena Street in the village when he noticed that de Asis, who was driving a tricycle, had a firearm inside the right pocket of his shorts.
Upon reaching a stoplight, Lopez introduced himself as a police officer and confronted de Asis.
After recovering a .38-caliber revolver from de Asis, Lopez arrested him.
When further frisked, de Asis yielded a sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Police Station 4 where he was detained.
