BACOLOD City – Fire razed six houses in Ylagan Extension, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, leaving an estimated P1-million damage.

The blaze started gutting the houses around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a Bureau of Fire Protection report showed.

The houses were owned by residents Antonietto Delubio, Maria Theresita Franco, Jay Luther Baynosa, Araceli Angana, Cicero Baynosa, and Edgar Baynosa.

The 54-year-old Yolly Pat, also a resident of the village, said she saw dark smoke coming from Delubio’s house, prompting her to inform other residents.

According to Delubio’s son Lester, no one was inside their house when the fire began.

No casualty was recorded after the fire.

BFP officers were still verifying if the blaze started from Delubio’s house./PN
