ROXAS City — To provide more efficient service, the city government here plans to build a three-storey city hall annex building.
Some city government offices will be provided with additional space to accommodate more clients, so others must be relocated to another building, said the city architect Margie Maestro.
“Gaginutok na ang offices sa city hall (City hall offices are getting congested),” she stressed.
Among the offices that need expansion, according to Maestro, are the Licensing Division, the Accounting Office and the financial assistance area.
The Licensing Division, she said, has become too small for the influx of clients mostly applying for the acquisition or renewal of business permit.
The planned annex building will be built behind the city hall building.
Employees and clients using both main and annex buildings will use the present vehicle parking space.
Maestro said the original plan was to build a five-storey building, but Mayor Angel Alan Celino wants only three floors for the meantime.
The foundation of the annex building can support up to five storeys so additional floors may be added later, said the architect./PN
