SAN JOSE, Antique – The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Antique provincial office, its personnel and local government units in Antique were recognized during the Pagdayaw/EXCELL/PRAISE-PISAN Awards held at the Iloilo Convention Center in Mandurriao district, Iloilo City.
Pagdayaw/EXCELL/PRAISE-PISAN Awards is an annual affair of the DILG Region 6 which acknowledges the noteworthy performances of provincial DILG offices, its personnel and local government units.
The awards’ theme this year is “Pagpupugay at Pasasalamat sa Matino, Mahusay at Maasahang Paglilingkod Bayan.”
The theme captures DILG’s efforts in leading local government units toward excellent governance.
Antique’s booth showcasing the best practices of Culasi (The Seawall), San Jose (Brigada Banwa), Libertad (Fish Forever Pride/i-Profi), and Tobias Fornier (Hog Fattening/Babuyang Walang Amoy) towns won as the best booth during the affair.
San Jose also got six EXCELL awards in the first-to-third class municipality categories: first runner-up in administrative governance and in economic governance, first place in social governance and in environmental governance, Best Performing Local Government Unit, and the EXCELL Hall of Famer Award.
The provincial government of Antique, on the other hand, was declared second runner-up in economic governance.
DILG Antique office personnel who were given recognition during the affair were Gina Caniezo (best performing administrative personnel for first level), Janeth Norella (best performing MLGOO), Rubina Jane Garces (first runner-up, best performing provincial staff), Raymundo Palanog (first runner-up, best performing program manager), Oscar Lim Jr. (first runner-up, best performing cluster leader), Judy Mae Magdato (best performing information officer), Jessana Carmela Tatoy (second place, in the 51st Batch LGOO Training ranking).
The DILG Antique Cluster was also declared as the second best performing cluster team while the DILG Antique provincial office, the best performing provincial office in Region 6.(With DILG Antique/PN)
