BACOLOD City — Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) confirmed the East Homes II pumping station bogged down.
Baciwa Employees Union president Claudio Salmo said barangays Estafania and Fortune Town had no water for two days.
Baciwa managed to fix the pump only yesterday afternoon. Water supply then resumed.
Salmo clarified Baciwa’s “management crisis” had nothing to do with the water supply interruption. There was a “technical problem,” he said.
After general manager Juliana Carbon meted a 30-day preventive suspension, Baciwa has been under interim general manager, Engr. Mario Macatangay./PN
