BACOLOD City – At a public market in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, a man was found dead yesterday.
Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, officer-in-charge of the Sagay City police station, identified the man as the 60-year-old Silverio Salongaquit of the hinterland Barangay Puey, Sagay City.
Residents discovered Salongaquit’s body under a stall in the market in Sitio Bago, Barangay Makiling, Sagay City around 6 a.m., a police report showed.
Salongaquit did not have wounds on his body, the report further stated.
His sister-in-law, Florenda Regla, told the investigators that Salongaquit left his house for an unknown reason a few days before he was found dead.
Salongaquit has 11 children, Regla added.
