BACOLOD City – Police were still identifying who threw a firearm along a road near a checkpoint in Barangay 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Police said it was a man driving a motorcycle on the city’s national highway around 7:45 a.m. on Monday.
The driver of a multicab trailing the motorcycle said the man took a U-turn to flee after throwing the firearm, which is a .9mm-caliber gun loaded with six live bullets, police said.
The gun is now under the custody of the Kabankalan City police./PN
