BACOLOD City – Police have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in shooting a man in Barangay Pilar, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
The 49-year-old Jonie Noli and wife Hazel – residents of Barangay 7, Hinigaran – were on board a tricycle on the national road around 1:10 a.m. yesterday when riding-in-tandem suspects fired at them, a police report showed.
Noli, who was driving the tricycle, was hit on the right chest and right lower stomach, police said.
He was rushed to the Hinigaran Emergency Clinic where attending physician Dr. Leizel Lizades pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
The suspects, on the other hand, fled. Police were still locating them./PN
