ILOILO City – A band of officers from various police units arrested a resident of Sitio Pulong, Barangay Nasunogan, Dao, Capiz.
Jerlyn Dela Cruz was charged with violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, a police report showed.
Officers from the following police units served the 20-year-old a warrant of arrest in the village at around 3 p.m. on Monday:
* Dao municipal police station
* Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Capiz
* Highway Patrol Group – Capiz
* Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6
The CIDG-Capiz took Dela Cruz in custody.
The court set the bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty at P80,000./PN
