ILOILO City – A 37-year-old woman suspected of stealing a motorcycle has been arrested in Barangay Kasing-kasing, Molo district.
Gina Abastillas’ warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Ma. Yolanda Panaguiton-Gavino on July 17, 2013 yet for violation of Republic Act 6539 (Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972).
Molo policemen arrested the suspect yesterday.
According to the police, in 2013 Abastillas’ friend entrusted to her a motorcycle and asked her to find a buyer.
However, when the motorcycle was already sold, Abastillas allegedly did not turn over the money to her friend.
Abastillas was detained at the lockup cell of the Molo police station./PN
