BACOLOD City – A motorcycle crashed against a car on a road in SitioMatuog, Barangay Basak, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, killing a man.
Police identified the man as the motorcycle driver Vicente Ersan Bayer Jr., 24, of Barangay Hibaiyo, Guihulngan City.
According to investigators, Bayer – who was on board an XRM motorcycle – lost control when he overtook a tricycle that stopped to take a passenger on Tuesday.
Bayer hit the side of the tricycle then crashed against the car driven by the 29-year-old BryanGlumalid, a private first class officer of the Philippine Army based in Barangay Mckenly, Guihulngan City.
Glumalid is a resident of Barangay PoblacionIlaya, Panay, Capiz.
Glumalid was detained at the Guihulngan City police station lockup facility, police said./PN
