BACOLOD City – A man was arrested in a sting operation in Barangay Piapi, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
He was the 40-year-old resident Carlito Duran, police said.
Joint elements of Negros Oriental police’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Bureau-Special Operation Group, Dumaguete City police station, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency staged the arrest around 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
Recovered from Duran’s possession were 12 sachets of shabu weighing about 7 grams, a lighter and P2,000 cash, police said.
Duran was detained at the Dumaguete City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
