SAN JOSE, Antique ā The concretization project of a road from Barangay Odiong to Barangay Catungan in this capital town has started.
Gov. Rhodora Cadiao on Wednesday led the ground breaking ceremony of the project under the āKalsada Programā of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The DILG has allotted P12,624,297.21 for the project while the provincial government, P4 million.
The Triple-Double Construction and Supply is the contractor of the road project.
The Odiong-to-Catungan road, once completed, will extend up to 1.2 kilometers.
According to Barangay Catungan IV village chief Zenobia Margallo, the road concreting project is a ālong-awaited dream.ā
ā It will greatly benefit the residents especially the farmers and students of our barangay,ā Margallo said.
The road project is expected to be completed within 65 days. (With a report from the Antique PIO/PN)
