BACOLOD City – A man was found dead – headless – in the hinterland Barangay Banban, Ayungon, Negros Oriental, a police report showed.
Senior Inspector Ruben VerboJr, municipal police chief, identified the man as the 37-year-old ReneboyEmalon of Barangay Carol-an, Ayungon.
Emalon’s body – riddled with six gunshot wounds – was discovered around 7 a.m. on Sunday, police said.
A .45-caliber firearm was used to shoot Emalon, according to investigators. He also sustained scratches on the different parts of the body, they added.
The investigators said Emalon had been already dead for more than 12 hours before he was found.
Emalon was a suspect for murder and rape incident that happened on Feb. 7, police said./PN
