BACOLOD City – A man was found dead floating in the seawaters of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, a police report showed.
Police identified the man as the 54-year-old Warlito Ambo of Basay, Negros Oriental, citing a report from the Philippine Coast Guard.
Ambo was on board a motorboat with two other persons – who the police did not identify – on Tuesday en route to a town in Cebu province when their vessel capsized.
It was the same day when tropical storm “Basyang” hit Negros Oriental.
The two others survived, police said.
Rescuers found Ambo’s body on Wednesday, added the police./PN
