BACOLOD City – Mayor Nicholas Yulo of Bago City, Negros Occidental said they are now drafting a proposal to private firms that are willing to develop the Bantayan Park.
Yulo told media members this yesterday during the city’s celebration of its 52nd Charter Day.
According to Yulo, they already have the master plan for the 15-hectare park.
The master plan was made by an architecture, fine arts and interior design team from the La Consolacion College-Bacolod.
“Part [of the plan are] the booths of the barangays, the fish port, an open space for a playground, a commercial area, and others,” said Yulo.
Yulo also stressed that the city’s revenues from business permit applications and tax collection have increased.
In the first 30 days of the year, the city has collected about P25 million, which is expected to increase by the end of the year.
Yulo said the city had collected P26 million for the whole year in 2017.
The mayor attributed the revenue increase to the implementation of the new Revenue Code this year./PN
