BACOLOD City – Police were still figuring out the motive in shooting a farmer in Barangay Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
The 47-year-old Johnny Castelo died after unidentified suspects shot him around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, a police report showed.
Castelo was on his way home from a public market when the shooting happened, investigators said.
At that time, Castelo was with his live-in partner Erlinda Las who told the police that the former was shot four times.
Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells of a .9mm pistol and an empty shell of a .45-caliber gun, police said.
Police have yet to identify the suspects who fled after the shooting./PN
