ROXAS City – Two drug suspects, including a minor, were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Angub, Cuartero, Capiz, a police report showed.
Officers from the Capiz Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (CPPDEU) caught the 21-year-old Ana Felicia Alegre of Barangay Culasi, Roxas City and a 16-year-old boy after they sold shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 on Tuesday.
CPPDEU head Senior Inspector Hilbert Gevero said Alegre had been under surveillance after she turned herself in to the police as a drug personality.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession were two sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Alegre was detained at the Cuartero municipal police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The boy, on the other hand, was referred to the Women and Children Protection Desk of the police station. He was later turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development./PN
