ILOILO City â In Barangay Hibao-an Norte, Mandurriao district, a 50-year-old carpenter had been shot.
Roberto Delos Santos, a native of San Remigio, Antique, was rushed to the Western Visayas Medical Center, also in Mandurriao.
He was attacked while on his way to the house he was staying in after watching television at a store at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a police report showed.
The police report identified the suspect as the 51-year-old Jimmy Garzon.
The Mandurriao police launched a hot pursuit that led to his arrest in his house in Barangay Hibao-an Sur at around 10:50 that night.
Garzon yielded a homemade âsingle-shot firearmâ loaded with a .45 bullet.
Delos Santos âpositively identifiedâ Garzon as the one who blocked and fired at him, the police report stated.
Garzon was detained at the Mandurriao police station./PN
