BACOLOD City — A 14-year-old girl revealed she was raped by seven men in her aunt’s house on May 13 in Barangay Miranda, Pontevedra town.

Nene (not her real name) alleged that her aunt “sold” her to the seven suspects.

She said she was invited by her aunt in her house for a family reunion on May 3 only to find out that her aunt had only seven visitors.

Nene said her aunt gave her a drink, which she claimed were laced with drugs.

The suspects sexually abused her after which, she said, adding that her aunt did not help her.

Nene said one of the suspects took a video of her ordeal. The video is now circulating in two barangays in Pontevedra, she said.

Feeling weak after the incident, Nene said she slept in her aunt’s house for two days.

After regaining strength, she escaped by boarding a bus bound for Bacolod City.

She stayed here wandering on the city streets for months until a school teacher took pity on her.

She told the teacher about her situation.

The teacher brought Nene to Balay Kalinungan, a shelter for abused girls here.

Balay Kalinungan officers referred her case to the Women and Children Protection Desk of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

Nene’s parents found out about her ordeal only recently.

Her father said he will file appropriate charges against the aunt and the other suspects.

Nene identified one of the suspects as Francis Yllorca of Barangay Balangigay, Pontevedra./PN
