MANILA â F2 Logistics Cargo Movers got back on the winning track in the 2018 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix with a 25-22, 25-18, 25-17 sweep over Smart Giga Hitters at the San Juan Arena.
Venezuelan reinforcement Maria Jose Perez led the way with 15 points on Thursday night to go along with eight excellent receptions.
With the victory, the Cargo Movers improved to a 2-1 win-loss slate.
Ilongga Abigail Marano and Charleen Cruz-Behag combined for 16 markers for the Cargo Movers, which recovered from a 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 loss to Petron Blaze Spikers on Saturday last week.
âPanalo kami pero âdi pa kami satisfied sa performance,â said Cargo Movers coach Arnold Laniog. ââYung ine-expect namin na performance âdi pa lumabas sa game. Chemistry-wise, âdi pa ganun, same as before.â
Cuban reinforcement Gyselle dela Caridad Silva top-scored with 17 points. Serbian import Sanja Trivunovic added 12 points for the Giga Hitters, which remained winless in four matches.
