ILOILO City – Who shot a salesman in Barangay Bitaog-Taytay, Santa Barbara, Iloilo? Police have yet to find out.
Denmark Brandes landed at the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital in Molo district after he was fired at on the back while driving his motorcycle, a police report showed.
He was passing by the Santa Barbara village from this city when attacked. The shooter was onboard another motorcycle tailing him, initial investigation showed.
Despite his injury Brandes managed to drive all the way to a convenience store at the poblacion in the nearby Zarraga town where he sought help. People there rushed him to the hospital.
The incident happened at around 12:10 a.m. on Saturday.
Brandes, a resident of Dumangas, works as a salesman of Business People Company, a product distributor of the transnational food and beverage company Nestlé, the police report stated.
Police have yet to identify the shooter but have found an empty shell of a .45 firearm. Investigation continues./PN
