IT SEEMS that the idiots and the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” are hysterical and probably going to the initial stages of severe depression as President Rodrigo Duterte just pulled the rug under their feet, rained on their parade and spoiled their party with his latest proclamation.

No, it’s not the breaking news that a Pasay court has ruled the filing of charges of sedition against that former sailor pretending to be a former soldier now senator Antonio Trillanes IV although that news certainly made most of the natives happy.

And no, Noynoy Aquino, Janette Garin, Florencio Abad, and Armin Luistro will not be vaccinated with Dengvaxia; again, if that happens there will be dancing in the streets that will make Dinagyang pale in comparison.

Oh well, wishful thinking…

This is the news that are now driving the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” into fits of hysteria and depression:

Excerpts from the March 15 issue of the Manila Standard:

Hits out at ICC’s scrutiny of PH war on illegal drugs

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte said Wednesday he was pulling the Philippines out of the treaty underpinning the International Criminal Court, which is examining his deadly war on drugs.

It is apparent that the ICC is being utilized as a political tool against the Philippines.
—President Rodrigo Duterte, announcing the country’s withdrawal from the International Criminal Court.

“I… declare and… give notice… that the Philippines is withdrawing its ratification of the Rome Statute effective immediately,” Duterte said in a statement.

On Wednesday Duterte, a former lawyer, attacked the ICC’s preliminary examination into his anti-narcotics campaign saying it was “unduly and maliciously created.”

“It is apparent that the ICC is being utilized as a political tool against the Philippines,” he said.

In his statement, Duterte cited “baseless, unprecedented and outrageous attacks on his person” as well as his administration.

“The acts allegedly committed by me are neither genocide nor war crimes. The deaths occurring in the process of legitimate police operations lacked the intent to kill,” he added.

In a strongly worded statement, President Duterte said that there appears to be a concerted effort on the part of the UN special rapporteurs to paint him as a ruthless and heartless violator of human rights who allegedly caused thousands of extrajudicial killings.

The President accused the ICC of prematurely making a public pronouncement of a preliminary examination, which effectively created the impression that he is to be charged for serious crimes falling under its jurisdiction.

“The attempt to place me under the jurisdiction of the ICC is brazen display of ignorance of the law. The ICC has no jurisdiction nor will it acquire jurisdiction over my person. The ICC has no jurisdiction nor will it acquire jurisdiction over my person,” Duterte said.

Under our law, particularly the New Civil Code, a law shall become effective only upon its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. Devoid of the legal required publication, the Rome Statute is ineffective and unenforceable,” the President said.

With that, all efforts of the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” to destabilize and bring down President Rodrigo Duterte with help from their foreign financiers and colonial masters went down the sewage drain into the cesspool aka Boracay.

It is notable that the three major superpowers, the United States, Russia and China, did not sign the Rome Statue Treaty. Although then US President Clinton signed it, his successor President Bush withdraw the membership of the US from the ICC.

The US government noted the major flaw of the ICC – the lack of safeguards to prevent political manipulation which is exactly what has happened to President Duterte.

It is pathetic that the so-called opposition, you know, the members of that fraternity of people affected with erectile dysfunction aka Tindig Pilipinas, needs the approval and support of foreign entities, the “white man”, and their former colonial masters just to get an “erection” against Duterte.

The Philippines is a sovereign nation and we the natives of these islands are not beholden to the Americans, Europeans and their instruments to subjugate independent nations i.e. the International Criminal Court  or ICC, the United Nations (which by the way is a failure, pray tell which war did it stop).

You are not “little brown Americans” that you come running to them for approval; you are a free citizen of a sovereign nation. Whatever happens in our country is because of us, not because of the “Europeans” and the Americans.

Just because Mar “Daang Matuwid” Roxas lost and you hate President Rodrigo Duterte does not give you the right to destroy my country. Grow up, you whinny little boy. (brotherlouie16@gmail.com/PN)
