BACOLOD City – Three employees of the Center for Community Savings and Credit Cooperatives were held up in Barangay Cabacungan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
They were loan officers Angelina Figueroa, 54, of Barangay Robles, La Castellana town, 27-year-old Naizel Canete of Barangay Kapitan Ramon, Silay City, and 24-year-old Cherry Tan of Barangay Nagasi, La Carlota City, a police report showed.
They lost to the robbers on Tuesday P80,000 cash, three cellphones, around 20 passbooks, and other valuables, police said.
Police said there were three suspects on board two motorcycles, a Honda Wave and a Honda XRM.
Two of the suspects alighted from the motorcycles, trained their .38 pistols on the loan officers and demanded that the latter hand over their belongings.
The suspects fled after the incident. Police were still trying to identify and locate them as of this writing./PN
