BACOLOD City — The father of the 17-year-old house help allegedly raped by Councilor Harry Sian of Himamaylan City revealed the accused’s attempts to settle the case out of the court.
The victim’s father who used to work as the councilor’s driver, said, “Sian is moving heaven to settle the case in exchange of money.”
He said Sian’s legal counsel went to them and negotiated for a settlement.
The father also said another man went to their place twice and tried to negotiate on Sian’s behalf.
He said their family is going to pursue the case filed against Sian.
A few weeks ago, Police Officer 2 Aireen Taco, head of Women and Children Protection Division of Himamaylan City police, filed the rape charge.
Sian allegedly raped his house help since she was 14 years old.
The victim alleged that the rape would occur every time the suspect would ask her to clean his room.
Sian is also facing another trouble after mauling a government employee inside his car last week./PN
