Capiz cops undergo ‘surprise’ drug tests

ROXAS City – Personnel of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) underwent “surprise” drug tests over the weekend.

Members of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit were among the 140 uniformed and non-uniformed CPPO personnel who took the Saturday tests.

The tests were part of the “internal cleansing” measures of the CPPO, according to police provincial director Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion.

“This is to ensure that no member of the CPPO is using illegal drugs,” Nacion said.

Drug tests will also be conducted in all 16 police stations across Capiz, he added.

The results of the drug tests were not available yet. They will be released anytime this week./PN
