BACOLOD City – The Task Force Kasanag (TFK) will look into the complaints against a poultry farm in Hacienda Violeta, Barangay Kapitan Ramon, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

The poultry farm is complained for its reeking smell.

TFK’s intervention was requested through a letter from Noel Desoyo, a purok president in Barangay Kapitan Ramon.

Desoyo also expressed their concern over the health effects of the foul odor to their children.

He said they have tried to seek helpfrom village officials and other local officials but were ignored.

The poultry farm had secured a business permit and a mayor’s permit, with business name PTG Poultry Farm Corp.

But according to Desoyo, the Silay city government has issued the poultry farm a cease and desist order on Aug. 30 last year.

TFK Negros Island commander Edsel Vaflor said they will get the side of the poultry farm owners before taking actions./PN
