ILOILO City – For allegedly stabbing a neighbor, a resident of River Plains Subdivision in Barangay Lanit, Jaro was detained at the district police station.
The 33-year-old Armando Rimando faces a frustrated murder charge, a police report showed.
Arthis Bartocillo, 38, reported to the Jaro police station that Rimando attacked him while he was sitting on his parked motorcycle at around 7:20 p.m. on April 3.
Bartocillo said he did not know what triggered Rimando to stab him on the left shoulder with the use of an 11.5-inch knife.
Bartocillo placed Rimando under citizen arrest and turned him over to the Jaro police station with the help of officers detailed at the Community Police Assistance Center in Barangay Lanit.
Police seized the bladed weapon from Rimando after his arrest.
Bartocillo was referred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center on E. Lopez Street, Jaro for treatment./PN
