ILOILO City – He was feeding fighting cocks when he was shot to death.
The 27-year-old Rey Guerra sustained multiple gunshot wounds on various parts of the body, a police report stated.
As of this writing, investigators have yet to identify a suspect and determine a motive.
Guerra, a resident of Sitio Dawis, Barangay Poblacion, Ajuy, Iloilo, was at a farm owned by Joey Montana in Barangay San Antonio, Ajuy when he was shot at around 7:20 a.m. on April 3.
He was ferried to the Sara District Hospital in Sara town on board the Ajuy local government’s ambulance but he was pronounced “dead on arrival” there.
Citing witnesses, police said the shooter used the victim’s red Smash 110 motorcycle (plate no. 5772FO) to escape but left this in Barangay Badiangan, Ajuy, around 4 kilometers from the crime scene.
