ILOILO City – Wanted for a Bouncing Checks Law violation charge, a resident of Jaro district had been arrested.
The 53-year-old Regie Palencia was detained at the custodial facility of the Jaro police station.
Palencia was a resident of Bougainvillea Street, Don Francisco Village, Barangay M.H. del Pilar, Jaro.
Officers served her a warrant of arrest in the same village at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, a police report showed.
She has been charged with four counts of violation of Batas Pambansa 22, the law penalizing the making or drawing and issuance of a check without sufficient funds or credit.
The court set a P2,000 bail bond each count for the suspect’s temporary liberty, stated the police report./PN
