BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth some P240,000 was recovered from a woman during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Superintendent D’Artagan Katalbas Jr., San Carlos City police chief, identified the woman as the 45-year-old resident Marcela Theresa Batusin.
Batusin was caught after she sold two sachets of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P1,000 around 11 p.m. on Sunday at Locsin Parola in the village, a police report showed.
When frisked, Batusin yielded four more sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 20 grams, police said.
Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 and the San Carlos City police station’s Drug Enforcement Unit staged the sting operation.
Batusin was detained at the San Carlos City police station lockup facility.
She was charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
