BACOLOD City – Sales during the recently concluded Panaad sa Negros Festival increased 29.7 percent, from last year’s P18.434 million to this year’s P23.908 million, the provincial capitol reported.
These sales were from the pavilions of local government units, the Eco-Garden Show, the organic market, the Livestock and Dairy Fair, the Food Park, and several kiosks.
Data that the capitol released the data on Sunday evening showed that on April 14 – the first day of the festival – sales reached P2.188 million.
The sales in the succeeding days were:

*P2.010 million on April 16
*P2.597 million on April 17
*P2.934 million on April 18
*P2.710 million on April 19
*P4.305 million on April 20
*P3.132 million on April 21
*P177.3 million on April 22
Sales from local government units’ pavilions reached P12.292 million, from the Eco-Garden Show, P1.958 million, from the organic market, P683,142, from the Livestock and Dairy Fair, P2.915 million, from the Food Park, P1.349 million, and from the kiosks, P4.708 million.
The annual festival, now on its 25th year, highlights various products in Negros Occidental.
All 19 towns and 13 cities in the province participated in the local celebration. (With PNA/PN)
