BACOLOD City – Accused of attempted homicide, a man was arrested in Barangay Mabini, Valladolid, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
The 49-year-old resident Raymund Florete will also face another charge for carrying a deadly weapon this election period, police said.
Officers from the Valladolid municipal police station served Florete with an arrest warrant on Saturday.
Judge Noel Darren Damian of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Valladolid and Pulupandan issued the warrant dated Jan. 29.
When frisked, Florete yielded a 13-inch knuckle knife, police said.
Florete was detained at the Valladolid municipal police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P12,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
