ILOILO City – A 29-year-old farmer had been hacked and shot. He died.
Police identified three suspects in the death of Judelmar Aquino.
The attack happened at 9 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay Carawisan, San Remigio, Antique where the victim also lived.
The suspects – Joey Rufino, relative Jeorge Rufino and Jestoni Ocario – were residents of the same village, police said.
Investigation showed Aquino had a heated argument with the suspects prior to the attack.
The two Rufinos hacked the victim while Ocario shot him, police said, citing witnesses.
The suspects fled after the incident, bringing with them the bolo and gun they used, added the police.
Police launched a manhunt against the suspects./PN
